ThumbloggerClient
ThumbloggerClient is a little program for the windows platform. With ThumbloggerClient you can add a thumb realy quick to you thumblog. The only thing you need to do is to drag the URL of the picture gallery to ThumbloggerClient, after that you only need to fill in the subject and message. When you have done that: press the Save button and the thumb is added to your thumblog.
Requirments
ThumbloggerClient has not many requirements, it runs on almost every windows version: windows 95, windows 98, windows millenium, windows xp, windows nt, windows 2000 and windows 2003. The installation requires about 2 mb hard drive space. ThumbloggerClient does only need a internet connection, it doesn't have special requirements related to the hardware.
Spyware or other trash
ThumbloggerClient is free of spyware and other trash. How do we make profit from it? ThumbloggerClient does all the intensive calculations for us, like resizing the picture which is added to your thumblog. This way the server which runs ThumbLogger can be used for other tasks like displaying the thumblogs.
Download
You can download ThumbloggerClient for free. When you have downloaded ThumbloggerClient just doubleclick the file and the installation procedure will start. When installation is complete you can start ThumbloggerClient. Don't forget to read the Configure part below, its important.
Configuration
When you start ThumbloggerClient for the first time you must take several steps to configure ThumbloggerClient. This is really necessary, dont' skip this step! Please follow the following steps to configure ThumbloggerClient:
- Click on the Start button which is located at the bottom right corner of the ThumbloggerClient window.
- Click on the Options menu item which appears.
- A new window will appear with the title Options, click the Account tab.
- Fill in your email addres and password (use the information which you normally use when you login to ThumbLogger with your browser)
- Click the OK button.
- Almost at the top of the ThumbloggerClient is a field with the word "Log" before it. At the right of this field there is a little button, it's the Refresh button. When you press it the blogs in the Log field are refreshed.
- Click the Refresh button next to the Log field.
- Click the Refresh button next to the Category field.
- Now ThumbloggerClient is configured and ready to use.
A quick start
Let's add a thumb to your thumblog. Follow the following steps:
- Start ThumbloggerClient.
- Start your browser and go to the gallery you wish to add to your thumblog.
- Drag the URL of the gallery to the ThumbloggerClient window and drop it on the white panel with the text "Drop gallery here".
- After a couple of seconds the first picture of the picture gallery will appear.
- You can navigate through the pictures with the little blue arrows (located at the bottom).
- Fill in the subject.
- Choose the right thumblog and category.
- Fill in a message.
- Press the Save button (located at the left of the Start button).
- When everything goes right a message is displayed indicating that the thumb was added.
Tips and tricks
- When you drop a gallery URL on the ThumbloggerClient window you can navigate forward and backwards with the little blue arrows. But what if you want to go to the 10th picture of the picture gallery? You can press the forward arrow ten times, but thats a lot of work. A faster way is to just drop the URL of the 10th picture on the big white panel where the picture appears.
